Deadly parasites share common genes

Three genes are for small red, blue and green dots, another expresses itself as a long-range hunting appendage known as a 'remote control', and there is a whole sequence devoted to the new 'plasma screen' mutation. Scientists applaud the genome sequencing, but are not optimistic that the parasites' spread can be halted before the obesity they cause becomes an epidemic.
