Gennaro Cicalese, "Migrant" painter, was born in Castellammare di Stabia (Naples) in 1964.
He started his painting activity at a very young age, exhibiting in alternative art galleries. While studying at the Fine Arts Academy of Naples he made contacts in Berlin and Cologne. He moved to Cologne, worked there with some of the Fluxus artists, and performed at the "Ultimate Akademie", the art school established by Al Hansen.
A member of the Neapolitan Culture Institute, he settled in Milan, where he has lived since 1989, and where he has had three solo exhibitions and various group shows.
Lately, invited by the "MIA Foundation", he joined the "Dar Najma Artlab" in Marrakesh, Marocco. His works appear in Titolo, Interni, Flash Art, Juliet, La Gazzetta di Parma, Vogue Bambini, Kunstforum, Brain, Amica, etc.For further information, catalogs, postcards or connections please contact:
