Scott Ferry is an emerging mixed media digital artist. His work explores the crisis and transformation process. "Born in California, I have been working in Montréal, Canada since 1995.
My work utilizes digital drawing techniques, photography, and a personal active mythology.
The images explore environmental and sensory impressions, how they give rise to strong attractions, liberating feelings, and present patterns. Each object, figure, and landscape represents a different type of impression, giving rise to deep emotions and feelings within.
There is a narrative contained in each figure and how it relates to the elements around it. I describe the crisis and transformation process by using simple collective symbols. These symbols send signals to the mind, the mind then interpretes this as danger, crisis, change, severance, completion, harmony, and protection."
